You can set your profile to private, which prevents other users from being able to view your profile and send you chat/group invites. However, you will not be able to view other user Doppels, use the chat feature, or use the groups feature. You can change this setting at any point.

If you allow push notifications, well notify you when other users matches with you, so even if you dont find your Doppel at first, you can wait for them to find you! Plus, you can find out when you get invited to chat, to a group, or when you receive chat messages.
